OUTREACH
Pascagoula, Mississippi
Through your prayers and support, September, October, November, & December 2003 have been fruitful months for the Outreach Ministry of House of Praise.
September, 2003
We set up in the parking lot of one of Pascagoula's low-income housing complexes. Many people began to come as the live praise & worship music filled the air, We served free hotdogs, chips, and cold drinks. Children came from all directions to have their faces painted and their hands filled with goodies. By the smiles on their faces, we could tell that even the smallest of children could feel the love of God. A few went door-to-door handing out tracts and Bibles, while others ministered to the crowd that had gathered.
The greatest testimony of all...... Souls Were Saved!!
October, 2003
We did an Outreach follow-up in October. We went back to the same neighborhood to visit the families and bless them with food. As we walked from house to house displaying the love of Jesus, many people began to open up to us. We visited the homes of those who were saved the month before and shared in their excitement of how God is moving in their lives. One of the families now attends House of Praise faithfully and returns to each service with even more hunger than the last. God is pouring His blessings out upon them.
November, 2003
In November, we returned once again to the same housing development. Our desire is to continue to minister to these people and build a relationship with them. The crowd began to gather as the House of Praise worship team began to praise God. The music could be heard for several blocks and many were drawn into the area by the anointing that filled the atmosphere. The children were excited to receive balloons and candy while waiting to have their faces painted. The children from House of Praise set up a puppet stage and did a puppet show. The youth drama team performed an original drama that mirrored many of the lives of those watching. There were many reactions as the drama unfolded and two people came forward to receive Jesus into their hearts and lives. Many lives were touched by the awesome presence of God and tears were flowing freely as people received prayer for healing and other needs in their lives.
While some were ministering to the spiritual needs of the people, others were meeting their physical needs. Your generous giving into this ministry enabled us to bless many people in this impoverished area. Forty-five turkeys and about ninety bags of groceries were given out.
Many of these people are experiencing the tangible love of Jesus for the first time as we pour into their lives.
December 2003
We purchased and gathered toys to bless about 75 children. We also purchased hams and delivered the necessary groceries to provide many families with a Christmas feast. With your help, we not only put gifts and food into these hands, but we shared the true gift of Christmas, Jesus, our Savior.
